Washer Machine Smells
  • New Machine : New machines always have a certain smell, or new smell that can’t escape when the machine is packaged up. These smells evaporate during the first few washes. You may run the Drum Clean Programme (Only applicable on selected model) or run the Cotton Programme in 90 degree temperature without laundry and detergent . You may also leave the door open to make the smell gets less and less.
  • Odours : Moisture and too much detergent or too less detergent can cause the residue and the unpleasant smell in the drum. If you are not using the appliance, leave the door and detergent drawer open so that residual water can evaporate. It’s advisable to use the washing machine cleaner tested by the manufacturer every 3 months. Click HERE to purchase the Washing Machine Cleaner.
  • Smells of rotten eggs: The smell may due to the blocked drain system or clogged sewer . Please clean the drain pump and check the sewer.
